Brilliant Balance

Aug 9, 2022

Can you recall a tradition that your family had when you were younger?

Maybe it was visiting your cousins every weekend for a Sunday lunch? Or opening a single present on Christmas eve? Whatever your childhood traditions were, they undoubtedly created a sense of belonging and contributed to your shared legacy with your loved ones.

Looking back, you might get nostalgic, but the best part is that it’s never too late to begin a new tradition or carry on an old one.

In this episode, I share my experience from our recent family reunion that’s been a tradition in our family ever since I was 18 months old. Listen in to discover why these events are so special in my heart and some tips to create your own.

Show Highlights Include:

  • What spending the night at an unknown hotel with 2 giant bags of cinnamon rolls and no cell phone can show you about leaving your comfort zone (6:06)
  • How shared family stories bring you closer to your loved ones and help you to reconnect with your shared legacy (9:16)
  • Why texting or social media can’t replace real-life get-togethers (14:00)
  • How creating small family traditions helps you connect with your loved ones on a deeper level and make memories you’ll cherish forever (15:14)
